Borg/Vorta

Install BorgBackup and the optional Vorta GUI for encrypted, versioned workstation backups. The borg_vorta role installs the tools only; it does not create repositories, store credentials, choose destinations, or schedule backups.

🔧 Manual setup and configuration

Create or reconnect backup repositories and configure credentials, destinations, retention, and schedules in Vorta or Borg. Then follow the recurring backup and restore checks in Backup and sync.
