Preparing the exam

• Exam dates: pruefungsorganisation@fs.de
• View examination dates in TimeEdit: Log in to TimeEdit as a staff member. Then either open All Room Bookings or use the Examination Schedule (set the date in the header and search for the relevant exam).
• Submit the exam as a PDF document at least two weeks before the examination date.
• Include sufficient space for students to provide their answers.
• Arrange a review by colleagues for large courses (e.g., Introduction to Programming); prefer sequential over parallel feedback.

ImportantChecklist

• Use a Git repository during development. Once the exam is finalized and archived, remove the .git directory.
• Consider Nextcloud/teaching/exams/materials/* for new tasks/ideas.
• Do not reuse old exams. Students have access to a large Dropbox folder containing previous exams.
• Use a sandboxed AI to check for errors and potential misunderstandings.

Grading

• Exato: Link shared by the Examination Office.
• Grading deadline: Three weeks (including the Christmas period), interpreted as 15 working days.
• Grading can be completed digitally or on paper.
• Group work graded in Canvas: Send an email to pruefungsorganisation@fs.de, asking the Examination Office to run the grade transfer.
• Check the grade distribution: Faculty manual.

Review and solutions

PO sends an email with subject “Solution for upcoming review session”.

• Publishing solutions is not necessary if the grading comments are detailed enough.
• For Introduction to Programming, solutions are usually provided.
