Excel setup

Slides: “Parameters are separated by a comma in the English versions and by a semicolon in the German version of Excel.”

1. Close Excel.
2. Press Win + R.
3. Enter intl.cpl and press Enter.
4. Click Additional settings… / Weitere Einstellungen…
5. Under Numbers / Zahlen, set:

• Decimal symbol / Dezimaltrennzeichen: .
• Digit grouping symbol: ,
• List separator / Listentrennzeichen: ,

6. Confirm with OK and restart Excel. The list separator determines whether Excel formulas use , or ;. ([Microsoft Support][1])

In Excel, ensure File → Options → Advanced → Use system separators remains enabled. ([Microsoft Support][2])
